Tim Maloney

Tim grew up in New England where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts. Tim then moved to North Carolina and earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from NC State University. He is a registered landscape architect in the State of North Carolina and has worked with Wake County government since 1994. For the past 12 years, Tim has served as the Director of Planning, Development and Inspections for the county. Early in his career with Wake County, he was responsible for the planning and design of several popular Wake County parks including the American Tobacco Trail, Yates Mill County Park, and Harris Lake County Park. Tim and his wife Jenifer love to travel to national parks and spend long weekends on the Blue Ridge Parkway. He is an avid road cyclist and manages a cycling club in the Raleigh area. Tim and Jenifer currently reside in the Raleigh area and plan to retire in the North Carolina mountains.
