SHOW CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST

Kelsey Waldon plays the fourth annual Sounds of the Mountains concert series at 7:30 p.m., January 12, at The Ramkat, a music and performance space in downtown Winston-Salem. Once again, the Blue Ridge Music Center and Yadkin Arts Council are partnering to present the series, which features blues, bluegrass, country, folk, and Americana artists.

Waldon's unique and authentic style of American roots music blends country, bluegrass, soul, rhythm and blues, and a bit of rock ‘n’ roll. Waldon’s contemporary, yet retro, country sound has been compared to that of country music legends Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.

The group None of the Above opens the show with its blend of bluegrass, Americana, alternative country, and original songs.

The series continues at The Willingham Theater in Yadkinville, North Carolina, with Front Country on January 19, and The Fireside Collective on January 26.

Tickets for individual peformances are $25. A four-show pass is available for $80, and three-show pass for $65.

The Blue Ridge Music Center presents off-site concerts throughout the year in partnership with partner organizations and venues. The Foundation proudly supports programming presented by the Music Center to preserve the cultural and musical heritage of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
