Don't miss the final concert of the Sounds of the Mountains series with Fireside Collective at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, January 26, at the Willingham Theater in Yadkinville, North Carolina. Once again, the Blue Ridge Music Center and Yadkin Arts Council are partnering to present the series, which features blues, bluegrass, country, folk, and Americana artists.

Formed in the mountain city of Asheville, North Carolina, Fireside Collective and their high energy brand of bluegrass, newgrass, and progressive folk music garnered the group a nomination for the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Award for Best Emerging Artist/Band.

“Depending on where you come from and your experience with folk music, you may think we’re very traditional, or on the other hand, consider us a progressive act," explains mandolinist and songwriter Jesse Iaquinto. "We appreciate both ends of the spectrum and may lie on a different end on any given night.” While roots music lies at the core of the Collective’s songs, a willingness to explore the boundaries and present relevant new material remains fundamental.

Blistered Hearts, hailing from the North Carolina Piedmont, opens the night.

Tickets for individual performances are $25. A four-show pass (full series) is $80, and a three-show pass is $65.
