Missy Raines & Alleghany
Missy Raines is a trailblazer in bluegrass and the most-awarded bass player in the history of the International Bluegrass Music Association. She is also a singer, songwriter, teacher, sideman, and bandleader. In January 2020, Raines debuted on the Grand Ole Opry with her band Allegheny. On her new release, Highlander, Raines gives a tip of the hat to the region of West Virginia where she grew up and developed her deep passion for bluegrass music.
None of the Above
Working with traditional bluegrass instrumentation, central North Carolina’s None of the Above creates a unique sound that includes elements from bluegrass, Americana, alternative, folk, rock, and original material. The band maintains its traditional roots while drawing on each member’s interpretations and contributions, ultimately producing a sound that encapsulates the name, None of the Above.
Tickets are $25 and admission is free for ages 12 and younger.
