That’s why in 2020, it attracted more visitors than any other national park unit.
Travelers from near and far make the Parkway a powerful economic driver for the 29 counties and hundreds of communities it passes through in North Carolina and Virginia. Parkway spending has reached or exceeded $1 billion each year since 2017.
At the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, we work to preserve and enhance these experiences, ensuring that people return to enjoy the park, and its neighboring towns and businesses, time and time again.
