James Houchins is the Director of Tourism & Marketing for Patrick County, Va. He has worked in a variety of roles throughout his career, including as an Inbound/Outbound Supervisor and a CTM Coordinator at The Results Companies and as a Sales Coordinator/Account Manager at Capewell Aerial System.
James earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Leadership & Management from Averett University. He has received several awards, including Sigma Beta Delta in December 2019. He is also active in board service, including serving on the Social Service Board for Patrick County for four years and as Board Chairman for two years at the Tri-Area Health Clinic in Laural Fork, Va.
James is a lifelong resident Patrick County. He is married (Donita) and has four grown children and grandchildren. He is also an ordained minister with 30 years of service. James’ hobbies include reading, watching commercials, and spending time alone. He is also a sports fan.
