A native of Buncombe County, N.C., Bronwyn Lance is a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran and political strategist with 18 years of service at the highest levels of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. She presently serves as chief of staff to U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11), where she oversees the intersection of policy, press and politics for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district. For 15 years, Bronwyn was a senior staff member in the United States Senate, serving as communications director and advisor for five U.S. senators and two major committees: the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. She also served as a Senate Republican leadership staff member for U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference.

She began her career on Capitol Hill working on the staff of U.S. Congressman Charles Taylor, who also represented North Carolina’s 11th district. She served as an editorial writer and member of the editorial board of Virginia’s largest newspaper, The Virginian-Pilot, and for six years, wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column for Knight-Ridder/Tribune and McClatchy-Tribune. She also served as a consultant for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels, Belgium and Norfolk, Va. Bronwyn holds a B.A. from Wellesley College, and an MPA from Old Dominion University. She and her husband, Russell, divide their time between Leicester, N.C. and Washington, D.C.
