Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation welcomes new trustee and advisors

We are please to welcome new member to our Board of Trustees and additions to our Council of Advisors. The new members will help provide leadership our nonprofit organization, which is celebrating 25 years of partnering with the National Park Service to preserve and enhance the country’s most-visited national park.

Former advisor Greg Andeck of Carrboro, N.C., was voted on to the Board of Trustees. Andeck is the Director of Strategy and Government Relations, N.C. office of National Audubon Society.

The Council of Advisors welcomed: 

  • Roberts Bass of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Meadows of Dan, Va., joined the Council of Advisors. He currently serves as the fractional CFO of two early stage growth companies.
  • David Huff of Asheville, N.C., joined the Council of Advisors. He is the owner of David Huff Creative, which specializes in conservation photography, and founder of the Peak 1 Group, a consulting practice that applies insights gained from the outdoors to personal effectiveness and creativity.
  • Tim Maloney of Raleigh, N.C., was voted on to the Council of Advisors. Maloney is the  Wake County Planning Development and Inspections Director.

Founded in 1997, the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is the nonprofit fundraising partner for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The organization provides support for initiatives along the 469-mile route, including historical and cultural preservation, natural resource protection, visitor amenities, and education and outreach. The Foundation’s work includes programming at the Blue Ridge Music Center on the Parkway, and the award-winning, nationwide Kids in Parks program.
