FUNDED!

Thank you for your gifts to make this project a reality. A crew with the American Conservation Experience has just finished most of the repairs at Craggy Flats Bald Trail during a four-week stint.

The short hike to Craggy Flats Bald is a popular trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway, particularly in June when rhododendrons are in bloom. Heavy visitation has taken a toll on the trail, leading to erosion and damage to the habitat. Because the trail is so degraded, it is difficult for Parkway staff to access the area with the equipment needed to maintain the landscape.

With this project, you can help rehab the trail from the picnic area to the open fields of Craggy Flats Bald. Crews will remove encroaching vegetation, eliminate braided trails causing damage to the landscape, and repairs to areas that contribute to erosion. Your donation will support a youth crew with American Conservation Experience to complete the rehab.

Please make a gift to ensure this gorgeous habitat remains healthy and easily accessible for hikers and those who care for it.
