Location

Blowing Rock, NC

Join us on National Public Lands Day, Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, for a volunteer workday on the Tanawha Trail near Price Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Volunteers will work alongside Parkway staff, the Conservation Corps North Carolina, and Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. A CCNC crew is spending 14 weeks rehabbing the trail. The project is designed to give young adults the opportunity to work side by side with National Park Service employees; engage with visitors and the agency’s supporters; and be part of a personally and professionally empowering adventure. It is also one of the Foundation's Trails & Views Forever projects.

All work will be performed outside and masks will be required when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Pre-registration is required, and group sizes will be limited. For more information or to register for this event, please e-mail blri_volunteers@nps.gov.
