Project Parkway: Campground Cleanup

Date

Saturday, April 21, 2018 -
9:00am to 12:00pm

Location

Blue Ridge Parkway campgrounds

We’re excited to invite you to participate in the Project Parkway - Campground Cleanup on Saturday, April 21. We’re welcoming Parkway fans to volunteer their time to spruce up the park’s eight campgrounds to kick off National Park Week (April 21-29).

At each location, there will be tasks appropriate for a wide range of ages including students, scout troops, civic organizations, visitors, families, and retirees. Projects may be anything from leaf blowing and limb clearing to painting or basic trail work. Volunteer projects will begin at 9 a.m. and last until noon at most locations. Tools and safety gear, including gloves and high visibility safety vests, will be provided. Participants will receive a free lunch at the end of the session and the opportunity to talk with a park ranger.

We’d love to see you there! If you are interested in participating, please sign up before Friday, April 6, by filling out the volunteer form here
