Parkway lovers are invited to celebrate the opening of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation’s expanded Asheville office from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, January 18 (rescheduled from December 12). Come enjoy refreshments, door prizes, and a ribbon cutting with the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, and learn more about the Foundation's mission to protect and preserve the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The organization’s new home is a recently renovated cottage built in 1949. The former office next door is now the headquarters for the Foundation’s Kids in Parks program, creating a mini-campus for the nonprofit. The renovation was completed by Atriax, PLLC working with Frellick Brothers Custom Home Builders.
The offices are at 322 Gashes Creek Road, Asheville. From downtown Asheville, take I-240 East toward the Blue Ridge Parkway for approximately 4.5 miles. Take Exit 9 toward the Blue Ridge Parkway and US 74-A. Turn left onto the ramp for I -40 East. Before the end of the ramp, turn right onto Gashes Creek Road. Turn right as the road forks at Gashes Creek Baptist Church. The offices are a quarter mile down on the left.
