In honor of the National Park Service’s centennial year, the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is teaming up with 17 Asheville-area breweries for special beer releases and fundraising events throughout August and September to benefit the Blue Ridge Parkway. Each brewery is honoring the National Park Service in an exciting way.

Pisgah Brewing will release Little Slaty (Slay-tee), the fifth installment of the Seven Sisters series. The release will begin at 5 p.m. and will extend through the evening, with free live music from Vibe & Direct beginning at 8 p.m. on the indoor stage.

The Beer: Little Slaty is an Extra Pale Ale focused on an aromatic hop profile and a medium-light grain bill. The Seven Sisters IPA series is named for the mountain range that overlooks the brewery in the Swannanoa River Valley of which Greybeard Mountain (namesake for Pisgah’s Greybeard IPA) is the father mountain.

Don’t forget to collect a Beer Passport sticker and register to win tickets to a V.I.P. event.
