Blue Ridge Music Center Spring Volunteer Day

Come and help prepare the Blue Ridge Music Center this year’s season opening. The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and Fisher Peak Volunteer Team are hosting a spring clean-up from 10 a.m. to about 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at the Music Center, at milepost 213 near Galax, Va. Volunteers will pull weeds, spread mulch, and clear brush. A light lunch will be provided.

Dress for the weather. Closed-toe footwear, long pants, and gloves are required. There will be some tools to share but if you have a round-nose shovel or heavy steel garden rake, please bring those.

Advance registration is required due to a limited number of openings. Email Aubrey Arrington at recycleman1@juno.com no later than Thursday, April 13 to sign up. Provide the names and contact information of anyone you are registering.

Once you RSVP, you with receive any necessary National Park Service volunteer agreement paperwork for each participant to read and fill out before arriving. If you have questions, call Aubrey at (276) 236-4105.
