Bob Stout is a 1974 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in economics. He retired from US Foods, a food company and national foodservice distributor in 2016. He was a Region President and served the company for nearly 40 years. While working in Charlotte, he served on The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Advisory Council and the Board of Community Food Rescue (now part of Second Harvest). He is spending retirement enjoying the High Country and serving on the Board of the Blowing Rock Historical Society and volunteering with various organizations. He and his wife, Janet, are proud parents of three children and four grandchildren.
