Staying connected in 2021

January 15, 2021

Let’s not call them resolutions; let’s just say we’ve got lots of opportunities to start great habits and traditions in the new year. Here are suggestions for activities and ways to stay connected to the Parkway year-round.

Take a virtual hike

Any time you need a breather, hit play on our video, A Winter Walk on the Parkway. It’s a short virtual jaunt in the snow to break up your day. And don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get more video excursions with each new season! Watch the video

Get hooked on hiking

Take the 100 Mile Challenge!  Each year, North Carolina State Parks invites people to explore parks from the mountains to the coast to reach a 100-mile milestone. With so many gorgeous places to visit, you might just exceed the goal. Many state parks are just off the Parkway, including Stone Mountain and Mount Mitchell
