April 30, May 1, and May 2 – Blue Ridge Discovery Weekend - a partnership between the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and Discovery Place of Charlotte for an unforgettable natural history weekend on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the award-winning Wildacres Retreat.

May 22 - The 4th annual Tour de Floyd is a scenic 63 mile long ride with nearly half the distance along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. There is 6,700 feet of climbing so at least 27 rear cassette or triple chain ring is recommended. The ride is supported with rest stops and SAG wagons.  The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation participates with the event and is the signature sponsor

May 24 – 35th Annual Assault on Mt. Mitchell – a 102 mile bicycle challenge from Spartanburg, SC to the top of Mt. Mitchell.  Share your event journey  stories with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation which is a promotional sponsor.

 

July 27-30 - Cruisin the Blues Motorcycle Ride - Annual motorcycle tour of the Parkway benefiting the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.  Originates this year in Front Royal, VA and finishes at the Pisgah Inn.

August 13,14, and 15 – Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation Weekend in Floyd County, Virginia.  Friday night Floyd Jamboree, Saturday Jazz and Wine Festival at Chateaux Morissette, Sunday hike at Rock Castle Gorge and Rocky Knob Recreation Area.
