Description	l-r: Gary Franceschi, the architect for the Mineral Museum expansion project, receiving the R. Getty Browning Award for Philanthropy in Architecture and Engineering from Dr. Houck Medford, Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. The award was presented to Mr. Franceschi at the dedication of the newly expanded Museum of North Carolina Minerals on October 29, 2003. Mr. Franceschi received this award for providing "beyond the call of duty" personal design services to the project.
