Description	l-r: Dr. Houck Medford, Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and Gary Franceschi, the architect for the Mineral Museum expansion project, displaying the R. Getty Browning Award for Philanthropy in Architecture and Engineering. The award was presented to Mr. Franceschi at the dedication of the newly expanded Museum of North Carolina Minerals on October 29, 2003. Mr. Franceschi received this award for providing "beyond the call of duty" personal design services to the project.
