our perfect wedding!

The wedding partyDavid and I both love the mountains. We wanted to make this day very special yet very personal. This was hard to explain to friends and family who all wanted to share in our wedding. The Blue Ridge Parkway has always been a part of my life -- trips with my family, for picnics, fishing, camping, picking blueberries, and playing in the creeks and rivers. We could not think of a better place to get married. One of my dearest and closest friends (Jean and John Gales) stood by our side as the Rev. William Hendon preformed the wedding. David had his oldest son Josh Justice as his best man and I chose Miss Kayla Justice, David’s one and only lovely daughter has my maid of Honor. The day had been hot with an afternoon thunderstorm. The steam off the mountain made the perfect back drop for our very small wedding. The smells of the fresh rain and leaves and grass and the pink blossoms of the Pink Beds overlook is now part of our everlasting memories. There was a cool breeze that made the air so refreshing. After the wedding we all went to the Pisgah Inn Restaurant for a wonderful meal. As we were leaving the restaurant there was a glorious sunset. What a day to remember. The Pink Beds overlook is now our treasured spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Jean and John Gales stood by our side, with David's oldest son, Josh, and daughter Kayla as the maid of honor.
